Drexel is pleased to provide this update on its work with the Atwater Kent Collection (AKC), including work between July 2023 and December 2023. Highlights include the successful debut of “Seeing Philadelphia” in the Frances M. Maguire Gallery at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; a total of 3,781 (as of 12/31/23) items added to the online collections portal and the start of a comprehensive documentation of the Friends Historical Association collection of objects and ephemera within the AKC.

Drexel University is pleased to provide this update on its work with the Atwater Kent Collection (AKC) of the former Philadelphia History Museum, including a summary of activities over the past six months, since June 2022. Highlights include moving the Collection from a former warehouse location to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Center City; continuing work on a comprehensive collection evaluation; working toward public access online through the collection database in 2023 and related digitization efforts; and planning for two exhibitions of the AKC, in 2023 and 2024.
